Merchant handbook
Getting onboarded
How a signup request becomes a live merchant account, what QCS verifies, and what arrives with your credentials.
Signing up on the website does not create an account. It creates a request that a QCS account manager reviews. Credentials are issued by a person, after a conversation, so that the pickup schedule, the rate card and the COD account are right before the first parcel moves.
What you need before you apply
- A business name and the city you ship from. Lahore today.
- A mobile number that can receive WhatsApp. Every operational update goes there first.
- An email address for the written copy of the same updates and for statements.
- CNIC or NTN for the person who signs for the account.
- Bank account title, IBAN and branch, for COD payouts. You can add this after approval, but no payout runs without it.
- An honest daily parcel estimate. It decides your pickup arrangement, not your price.
The five stages
- 01You submit the requestFill the form at /merchant-signup. It records your business, your pickup address, your product type, your daily volume and your preferred pickup time. Nothing is charged and no account exists yet.
- 02QCS reviews itAn account manager checks the pickup address against the Lahore service area, reads the volume estimate and calls you. Expect contact within one working day during business hours.
- 03VerificationWe record your CNIC or NTN and your bank details against the account. Documents are stored privately and are never served from a public URL.
- 04Approval and credentialsOn approval the system creates the merchant, the first portal user and a temporary password. The credentials arrive on WhatsApp and by email, in two separate messages.
- 05First loginYour first login forces a password change before any screen opens. Set a password you do not use anywhere else, then add your pickup addresses and book a test parcel.
Daily volume and pickup
A rider run to a merchant has a fixed cost, so regular pickup needs a minimum of 5 parcels a day. Below that, your account is still accepted and you can still book, label and track; the account is flagged no-pickup and you drop parcels at the warehouse yourself.
What your account carries
- Merchant code
- A short permanent code that appears on every label, load sheet and statement. Quote it when you contact support.
- Rate card
- The tariff attached to your account. Unless you were given a negotiated card, it is the published Lahore card, and the pricing calculator on the public site shows exactly what you will be charged.
- Pickup addresses
- One or more addresses a rider can collect from. One is the default. Each carries a contact name and phone the rider can call.
- COD remittance cycle
- How often QCS pays out the cash collected for you. The default is weekly.
- Portal users
- You can invite your own staff with their own logins and limited permissions. The owner account keeps full access.
Questions we get asked
Can I start shipping on the same day I apply?Only if an account manager completes the review that day. The review exists so that the first parcel is priced and collected correctly, and it needs a live conversation.
Is there a joining fee or a monthly fee?No. You are charged per delivered parcel, at the rate on your card. A parcel that is not delivered is not charged, with two documented exceptions covered in the tariff page.
Can I use my own packaging and my own invoice inside the parcel?Yes. The only requirement is that the QCS label is on the outside, flat, unobstructed and scannable.
