Rates and the calculator

The whole tariff, on one page, with the arithmetic shown.

There is one pricing engine in this platform. The figure you get here is the figure that will appear on your order and on your invoice.

Rate calculator

Price a parcel

Weight is required. Dimensions are optional and only change the answer when the parcel is bulky for its weight. The result is computed by the same module that charges a real order.

Weighed on a scale, before packing tape. Up to three decimal places.

Dimensions in centimetresOptional

Only changes the answer when the parcel is bulky for its weight, and only up to 5 kg actual.

Indicative. The final charge uses the weight and dimensions recorded at the QCS warehouse, and the zone confirmed when the delivery address is resolved.

How the charge is built

  1. 01

Dimensional weight is length × width × height in centimetres, divided by 5000.

  2. 02

Up to 5 kg actual, the greater of actual and dimensional weight is charged.

  3. 03

The result is rounded up to the next 0.5 kg. An exact multiple does not round up again.

  4. 04

The extended area adds a flat charge once per parcel. It does not scale with weight.

Chargeable weight

Why a light parcel can cost more than it weighs

A courier pays for the space a parcel occupies as much as for its mass. So the charge is based on the greater of two numbers: the actual weight on the scale, and the dimensional weight, which is length times width times height in centimetres divided by 5000.

That comparison only applies when the actual weight is 5 kg or less. Above 5 kg the actual weight is used. Whichever number wins, it is rounded up to the next 0.5 kg, and an exact multiple of 0.5 kg does not round up again.

Worked example from the tariff

Parcel measuring 40 × 30 × 20 cm and weighing 3 kg

Dimensional weight: 40 × 30 × 20 ÷ 5000 = 4.8 kg

Actual weight is 3 kg, which is under 5 kg, so the larger applies

Basis 4.8 kg, rounded up to 5.0 kg, which is 10 half-kilo units

Lahore City charge: 180 + 9 × 40 = PKR 540

The weight and dimensions recorded at our warehouse are what the charge is finally based on, and both are shown on the order in your portal. If you believe a figure is wrong, raise a dispute on the order and it is investigated against the recorded evidence.

Tariff terms

When a charge applies, and the two times it applies anyway

Charges apply only to successfully delivered shipments. A failed delivery attempt is not charged. A parcel returned to you is not charged. That is the default and it is enforced in code: the charge capture is triggered by the delivered transition and by nothing else.

The two exceptions

Allow to open. If you let the customer open the parcel before paying and the contents are not what you specified, the delivery is charged by weight even though it was refused. The rider records the refusal with evidence and an outcome code, and you can dispute it.

Merchant-induced cancellation. If you instruct the customer to cancel after the parcel has been handed to us, or you had already cancelled with the customer before handover, the delivery is charged by weight. Back-office applies this outcome code with evidence, and it is disputable.

Other terms

All rates are inclusive of sales tax and fuel adjustment

Express and same-day pickup must happen before 13:00

The extended area charge is PKR 50 per parcel, applied once, and does not scale with weight

A revised tariff is notified to every active merchant before it takes effect, and orders booked earlier keep their original charge

Pricing questions

The ones that actually come up

Is there a fuel surcharge on top?

No. Fuel adjustment and sales tax are already inside every published figure. If fuel moves enough to change the tariff, every active merchant is notified before the new card takes effect.

Do you charge a COD collection fee?

Not at launch. The fee rule exists in the system as a switch so it can never be applied by accident, and it is off.

What happens above 5 kg?

The same per-0.5 kg step continues. The quick reference table stops at 5 kg for readability, not because the rate changes. An 8 kg standard city parcel is 180 + 15 × 40 = PKR 780.

Can I negotiate a rate?

Yes, on volume. A negotiated rate card is attached to your account and resolved ahead of the public card at booking time. The rate card version used is recorded on every order.

Is the quote on this page what I will be charged?

It is the same calculation, from the same module. The difference can only come from the weight, the dimensions or the zone we record being different from what you entered here.

Do I pay for a reattempt?

No. The reattempt fee rule exists and is disabled, so a second or third attempt costs you nothing.
